Staying connected is easy in Prague. You have a choice of major mobile providers and plenty of free Wi-Fi spots throughout the city and campus.
The three main network providers are Vodafone, T-Mobile, and O2. Their services and prices are generally comparable, but it’s always worth checking for current student deals.
Cost usually ranges between 350–700 CZK/month, including calls, SMS, and data.
Ask at the International Department of UCT Prague. They often provide free SIM cards (including a Czech number + 3 GB data) for a quick start!
Free Wi-Fi is common in restaurants, shopping centres, and even some trams or stops. For home internet, it's often best to ask your mobile provider for a "bundle" deal.
On campus and in dormitories (Sázava & Volha), you can use the free vscht Wi-Fi. Students also have access to eduroam (standard academic network).
About 25% of Czechs still use Seznam.cz instead of Google. It’s the local go-to spot for news and information!
