What is Erasmus+?
Erasmus+ is a European programme that supports education, training, youth, and sport. Through Erasmus+, students can study or do a traineeship abroad, gain international experience, and improve their academic and professional skills.
If your home university has an Erasmus+ agreement with UCT Prague, you can come to study with us for one or two semesters as an exchange student. The programme covers tuition fees and often provides a grant to help with living costs during your stay.

IAESTE (The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience) is a global non-profit organisation that provides paid, course-related internships abroad for students in science, engineering, technology, and applied arts.
Through the IAESTE programme, students can gain valuable international work experience, develop professional skills, and explore new cultures. Since its founding in 1948, IAESTE has connected students and employers in more than 90 countries, making it one of the world’s largest and most established internship networks.
If you are interested, you can also come to UCT Prague for a traineeship through IAESTE and work in one of our university laboratories or departments.

Established in 1994, CEEPUS supports the mobility of students and academic staff, promotes joint research, and strengthens regional cooperation in higher education.
Through the CEEPUS network, students can study or do research at partner universities in countries such as Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and several others.
You can also come to UCT Prague for one or two semesters under a CEEPUS scholarship, join international projects, and experience life in the heart of Europe.

The ATHENS Programme (Advanced Technology Higher Education Network) is an international exchange initiative launched in 1997. It brings together leading European universities that organize week-long intensive courses in science, engineering, and technology.
The courses take place twice a year — in March and November — and are taught in English, French, or Spanish. Each course includes around 30 hours of lectures, seminars, and excursions, complemented by 12–15 hours of cultural activities, allowing students to also experience the culture and environment of the host country.
UCT Prague is part of this network together with the Czech Technical University in Prague. We organize two ATHENS courses in November and one in March, all taught in English.
Applications can be submitted via the official ATHENS website, where UCT Prague courses are listed together with those of the Czech Technical University.

Scholarships are offered both to students from Visegrad countries (Intra-Visegrad Scholarships) and from Eastern Partnership countries — Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine.
Application process
Applications are accepted once a year, with a deadline on 31 January. The entire process is managed by the Visegrad Fund, while UCT Prague assists applicants with the acceptance letter and working plan, which are part of the application.

This programme is ideal for students seeking specific academic programs and unique cultural experiences or who wish to explore countries not covered by formal exchange partnerships.
While the Freemover Exchange Programme offers flexibility, it requires careful planning and research to ensure a successful and fulfilling experience.
