Prague has an extensive public transport network that is rated as one of the best and most reliable in Europe. Whether you take the metro, tram, or bus, you can reach even the most remote corners of the metropolis quickly and easily.
💳 Lítačka (Student Travel Pass)
If you travel regularly, the long-term travel pass (Lítačka) is the most economical choice. It covers all metro, tram, and bus lines in Prague.
Option 1: Online / App
- Register at pidlitacka.cz or download the app.
- Upload a photo and create an account.
- Add a "Season Ticket", select your tariff, and pay online.
Option 2: In Person
- Visit Škoda Palace (Jungmannova 35/29, near Můstek).
- Bring a passport-sized photo.
- We recommend booking an appointment in advance.

🚇 Metro (Underground)

Transfers: Můstek (A/B), Muzeum (A/C), Florenc (B/C). Intervals: 2–4 min (peak), up to 10 min (off-peak).
🚃 Trams
Reliable surface transport. For sightseeing, try the nostalgic line 42.
⚠️ Trams always have the right of way at pedestrian crossings!
🌙 Night Service (00:30 – 04:30)
Nine tram lines (91–99) and bus lines (901–915) run every 30-60 min.
Airport: Night bus 910 runs directly to Václav Havel Airport every 30 min.

Vending Machines At all metro stations and major stops. Accept contactless cards or coins.
In Trams & Buses Contactless terminals are inside vehicles. No need to stamp these tickets!
Mobile App Download PID Lítačka to buy, activate, and store tickets on your phone.
Info Centers Located at major hubs like Můstek, Hlavní nádraží, or the Airport.
