It is essential to follow the instructions below and strictly observe the set deadlines. Any problems or concerns should be discussed with the Department of International Relations via incoming@vscht.cz.

Nomination by Home Institution

Your home institution is responsible for the selection and official nomination procedures and will provide you with detailed information regarding Double Degree (DD) programme opportunities. You cannot apply for the DD programme at UCT Prague without this nomination.

📋 Official nomination includes your:
  • Full Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Email Address
  • Intended Period of Stay

Your home university must contact the Department of International Relations at UCT Prague (incoming@vscht.cz) and send the nomination directly. UCT Prague, as the host university, confirms student admission for studies according to its selection criteria.

📅 Nomination Deadlines:

The nomination process is officially open from 1 April until 31 May.
Note: For Double Degree nominations, we can be more flexible and are able to receive nominations earlier than the official opening date.

Acceptance from UCT Prague

Each candidate will be reviewed by the guarantor of the DD program. Upon the guarantor's approval, we will move forward with the application process. The student will receive an official Letter of Acceptance from the IRO department via email.

Application Procedure & Deadlines

After your nomination, you will receive an informative email explaining how to start the Application Procedure for Double Degree (DD). UCT Prague no longer accepts original paper forms; scans and electronically signed copies are sufficient.

📅 Admissions window: 1 April – 15 June

All completed and scanned materials must be sent to incoming@vscht.cz.
Tip: Send ONE email with all documents attached to speed up the review.

⚠️ Important: We highly recommend starting as soon as possible. Non-EU students must ensure they have enough time for both the application and the subsequent visa process.

Application Documents Checklist
1) Student Application Form (Online)

This form is essential for registration in the university's internal system. You will receive the link via email once we receive your official nomination.
Accuracy is vital:

  • First and last name must be identical to your passport/ID card.
  • Date of birth format must be dd/mm/yyyy.

2) Learning Agreement for Study (LA)

A formal agreement outlining your planned courses and credit transfer.
Receiving Institution: UCT Prague (Vysoká škola chemicko-technologická v Praze).
Details: Erasmus Code: CZ PRAHA01 | Address: Technická 5, Prague 6 - Dejvice.
Contact: Adéla Habartová, International Relations Coordinator (Adela.Habartova@vscht.cz).
Table A: Must strictly match the study plan agreed between our institutions (see your university's section on this website). Check the period of study (month/year), course codes (ask your coordinator if unsure), course names, semesters, and the total number of credits.

⚠️ Submission & Signatures: Submit only the version already signed by you and your home institution. UCT Prague signs last after verification. Inaccurate documents will be sent back; failure to return a corrected copy by the deadline may result in nomination cancellation.

3) Proof of English Language Skills (Min. B2)

To study successfully, you need a good command of English (B2 level or higher).
Recognized Certificates:

  • Cambridge ESOL: Minimum FCE.
  • TOEFL iBT: Minimum score 80 (valid for 3 years).
  • IELTS: Minimum band score 5.5 (valid for 3 years).
Other Formats: Online Linguistic Support (OLS), or a Confirmation of Language Knowledge issued by your home university's language center or a language school confirming B2 level.
Exemptions: Native speakers or students fully studying in English at their home university.

4) Medical Assessment Form

Work in our laboratories involves direct contact with chemicals that might endanger your health or the health of others. For this reason, a Medical Assessment of Fitness to Study at UCT Prague signed by a doctor is mandatory.

Exception: Students studying only courses from the School of Business are exempt from this obligation.

5) Transcript of Records (in English)

This is of utmost importance as it serves as comprehensive documentation of your academic achievements. We need to check all completed semesters, including grades and the summer semester.

💡 Waiting for results? If you don't have the final TOR yet, inform us and we can arrange a later submission.

6) Copy of Bachelor's Diploma

The Dean's office requires a copy of your Bachelor's Diploma to process your Double Degree exchange application officially.

7) Motivational Letter & CV

Providing a CV and a Cover Letter is highly important. They showcase your skills, experiences, and motivations, helping UCT Prague assess your suitability for the specific exchange program.

8) Scan of Passport / ID

Required to officially confirm your personal data.

Non-EU Students: If you are currently studying in Europe, it is essential to send a scan of your residence card as well.

🎓 Important Certification Note:
Learning Agreement, Confirmation of Language Knowledge, and Transcript of Records must be officially confirmed by the respective representatives of your home institution.

Financing & Costs

At UCT Prague, no tuition fees are required for exchange students. However, you are responsible for covering your own travel, living expenses (food, transport), health and liability insurance, and any visa-related costs.

🎓 Double Degree Students:

Mandatory tuition fees must be paid to your home institution; you are exempt from these fees at UCT Prague.
Note: Non-European students may incur additional specific fees.
