Accommodation for Exchange Students

Living in a student dormitory is the easiest way to start your exchange at UCT Prague. Meet new people, settle in quickly, and enjoy convenient access to the city and campus. UCT Prague offers accommodation in two dormitories: Volha and Sázava, both located near Chodov metro station.

3,780 – 6,400 CZK / month
(depends on room type and roommates)

Volha Dormitory

Important Information – Volha

Apartments with 2 rooms (2–3 beds each), shared bathroom and toilet.
Shared kitchens on every floor.
Laundry rooms on the 1st, 4th, 7th, and 11th floors.
Note: Kitchens are not equipped; bring your own dishes and basic cookware.

Sázava Dormitory

Important Information – Sázava

Apartments with 2 rooms (2–3 beds each), shared kitchen, bathroom, and toilet.
Limited single rooms available.
Laundry room on the ground floor.
Fitness center with gym, fitness zone, and table tennis.

How to Apply for Accommodation

Short-term exchange students, once accepted to UCT Prague (with a fully signed Learning Agreement), will receive an Accommodation Application from an admission officer via their acceptance email.

Application Process:

Fill out the form and send it directly to the dormitory admission office: erasmus.accom@vscht.cz.
Specific instructions will be attached to your acceptance email.
Further communication will be direct between you and the dormitory officer.

📅 Deadlines & Rules:

Exchange students must send their applications by the given deadlines. Please obey the Accommodation Rules for the academic year 2025/2026 (winter/summer semester).

The Room Allocation

In August (winter semester) or December (summer semester), you will be contacted by a dormitory officer with information about your assigned room.

Earliest Arrival:
Usually possible 1-2 weeks prior to your Enrollment Day.

Note:
Requests for specific room types might not be met due to limited capacity.

Check-in & Payments

Show your passport at reception to collect keys.
Fees: 400 CZK (Admin) + 7,000 CZK (Refundable deposit). Access all payments via the ISKAM online system.

Bed Linen & Wi-Fi

Linen is included and changed weekly. Wi-Fi (vscht, volha, sazava) is available throughout the campus and dorms. Logins are provided on Enrollment Day.

Getting There from Airport

🚌 Bus 119 → Metro A (Nádraží Veleslavín) → Transfer to Metro C (Muzeum) → Chodov → Bus 177 (Volha stop).

Total time: 45–50 mins | Ticket: 40 CZK (purchase at airport or via PID Lítačka app).

Off-Campus Housing Private rentals require registration at Foreign Police within 3 days. Dormitory residents are registered automatically.
