International Student Orientation

Once you arrive, you will be welcomed through a tailored orientation week designed specifically for international students. It helps you get familiar with the campus, academics, Prague, and the support services available.

Language Support

For students who want to improve their Czech, we offer Czech language courses to help you with everyday communication, cultural understanding, and overall life in Prague.


Personal & Well-being Support

Moving to a new country can come with emotional and personal challenges. Our counselling services offer a confidential and supportive space where you can talk about stress, homesickness, cultural adjustment, or academic difficulties.

Psychological Counselling

A free mental-health support service for students who feel overwhelmed or face personal, emotional, or interpersonal issues. Whether it's a crisis, long-distance family matters, conflicts, or relationship challenges you are not alone, and help is available.

Support for Students with Specific Needs

UCT Prague provides services and support measures for students with disabilities or specific needs. These include diagnostic support, counselling, compensatory aids, extra time during exams, alternative exam formats, and more. Registration is required, and all services are free of charge.

A Safe & Positive University Environment

UCT Prague is committed to fostering a fair, respectful, and safe academic environment. We reject any form of discrimination, bullying, harassment, intimidation, or sexual misconduct.

The university provides confidential consultation and reporting services where you can discuss situations that go against UCT Prague’s ethical standards.

ESN helps international and local students connect through cultural events, trips, workshops, and social activities making it easier to settle in, meet new friends, and become part of the student community.

Buddy Programme

Every exchange student can request a buddy a Czech student who:

  • picks you up at the airport,
  • helps you get to the dormitories and campus,
  • supports you with early administrative steps,
  • shares tips about student life and Prague,
  • stays available during your first weeks (and often longer).
