Application & Eligibility
❓ May I participate in Erasmus+ if I study in a non-EU country?

The Erasmus+ programme is open only to students from Programme Countries (EU member states + North Macedonia, Serbia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey). To participate, your home university must also have a bilateral agreement with UCT Prague. Check the Erasmus+ Programme Guide for more details.

❓ What is the tuition fee for Erasmus+ exchange?

There are no tuition fees for Erasmus+ students. This also applies to students coming under other exchange programmes or to freemovers.

❓ Are original application documents required?

No. All documents are submitted by email. Only double-degree students may be asked to provide original or officially certified copies.

❓ When will I receive my application decision?

Decisions are usually issued within 4 weeks, but only for complete applications. Missing documents may cause delays.

Academics & Courses
❓ What is the language of instruction and certification?

All courses listed in our catalogues are taught in English. Applicants must submit proof of English proficiency at minimum B2 (CEFR). If your qualifications may not be recognised, contact the International Relations office.

❓ How many credits should I take?

Exchange students must earn at least 20 ECTS per semester.

❓ What courses can I choose?

Bachelor’s students: undergraduate catalogue.
Master’s students: undergraduate and graduate catalogues.

Note: Mixing BSc and MSc courses may cause timetable overlaps. Bachelor’s students can take Master’s courses only in exceptional cases with prior approval.

🔬 I want to do an internship / final project. What is the procedure?

First, send your Motivation letter (interests & lab experience), CV, and Transcript of Records to us. We will then look for a suitable supervisor.
Note: UCT Prague does not provide funding for internships.

Arrival & Logistics
❓ When should I arrive and what about Enrollment Day?

Arrive in time for Orientation Week. If you cannot attend Enrollment Day, inform us in advance; your enrollment will be arranged individually. Absence can be excused for up to 14 days after classes begin.

❓ Non-EU applicants and Visa?

Details are on the Visa webpage. Read everything carefully—the process can be very long.

🏠 Will I receive student accommodation?

Yes, all incoming exchange students have received accommodation so far. Apply via erasmus.accom@vscht.cz by the deadline.
Note: Only double rooms are available. Confirmation is sent about 14 days before arrival.
