UCT Prague’s Department of International Relations will send you an informative e-mail before your arrival, asking you to schedule a meeting with both the Department and your UCT supervisor.
- You are officially accepted for the traineeship once your Learning Agreement is fully signed.
- Before traveling to Prague, make sure that all requested documents have been sent to the Department of International Relations and you have applied for accommodation.
- Confirm your exact arrival date with the Department of International Relations and schedule your final registration meeting.
If you applied for a room in UCT Residence Halls, you will receive an e-mail confirmation 2–4 weeks before arrival. For private accommodation, verify that your rental is legitimate. Avoid scams by never paying before seeing the flat and signing a contract.

Non-EU students must apply for a student visa at the Czech Embassy or Consulate. Prepare the necessary documents, such as:
- Acceptance letter & Passport
- Proof of sufficient funds
- Any additional embassy requirements
- Short-term (Schengen) – stay under 90 days
- Long-term – stay more than 90 days
EU students: Use your EHIC card for free emergency healthcare. Consider additional coverage for serious illness or injury.
Non-EU: Submit proof of health/travel medical insurance for visa.
Liability insurance covers accidental damage to others or their property.
Complete the Medical History Form before arrival and bring it. For acute respiratory infections, contact UCT Prague in advance to schedule a doctor’s appointment.
Book your flights early for better rates. Currency: Czech Koruna (CZK). Prague is affordable, but costs depend on lifestyle. Check prices online.
