Once you are accepted for a traineeship at UCT Prague and your Learning Agreement is signed, you will receive an e-mail from the International Relations Department (IR) regarding your final registration, usually 2–3 weeks before arrival.

Traineeships can start at any time during the academic year, depending on your agreement with your supervisor. Cancellations are only possible for exceptional reasons and must be notified well in advance.
⚠️ Note: Avoid arriving in September–mid October if your only housing option is dormitories, as capacity is limited.

Before Final Registration

The IR Department will send instructions by e-mail, including how to get to UCT Prague and required registration documents to read in advance (to sign upon arrival): Personal Information Policy, Safety Rules for Students, and Regulations for Using Computers.

Dormitories Arrival

A dormitory officer will contact you with your room assignment. Upon arrival, check in at the reception with your passport. You will receive room key, documents, and bed linen. Sign necessary documents and hand them to the dormitory office.

💰 Fees: Administrative fee: 400 CZK, Refundable deposit: 5,000 CZK. Detailed information is provided by the dormitory office.

Set a Meeting

Before arrival, arrange a meeting with your UCT supervisor and the Department of International Relations. Check the Contacts page for directions.

First Day at UCT Prague

Address: Technická 3, Prague 6 – Dejvice (Building B). Your supervisor and IR Department will help you complete final registration (mandatory) and understand the university structure.

🎒 What to bring: Pen, passport/ID, 300 CZK in cash (for ISIC), water, small snack, and prefilled arrival certificate (if needed).

Cards & Login

Visit the Card Center (Building B) for ISIC card (300 CZK) or University student card (free). The card allows entry to buildings, use of computers, photocopies, and discounted meals. The IR Department will provide your UCT login and password (change it upon first use).

Foreign Police:
Dorms handle residents. Private EU: within 30 days. Private non-EU: within 3 days.
Insurance:
EU: Register EHIC with VZP insurance. Turkey: use national insurance.
Transport Pass:
Under 26 with ISIC: use student discount. 26+: full price.
