Living in a student dormitory is the easiest way to start your exchange at UCT Prague. Meet new people, settle in quickly, and enjoy convenient access to the campus. UCT Prague offers limited accommodation in two dormitories: Volha and Sázava, both located near Chodov metro station.

Prices:
3,780 – 6,400 CZK / month

Volha Dormitory
Important Information – Volha
  • Apartments with 2 rooms (2–3 beds each), shared bathroom and toilet.
  • Shared kitchens on every floor (Note: Not equipped with utensils; bring your own).
  • Laundry rooms on the 1st, 4th, 7th, and 11th floors.
  • Residence Canteen located directly in the building (breakfast, lunch, dinner).
Sázava Dormitory
Important Information – Sázava
  • Apartments with 2 rooms (2–3 beds per room) + shared kitchen + bathroom/toilet.
  • Limited single rooms with private bathroom available.
  • Laundry room on the ground floor.
  • Fitness center with gym, fitness zone, and table tennis.
How to Apply for Accommodation

Short-term exchange students, once accepted to UCT Prague (with a fully signed Learning Agreement), should follow these steps:

  1. Inform IRO (incoming@vscht.cz) about your preference and planned dates.
  2. Once you receive the Accommodation Application via acceptance email, fill it out.
  3. Send the form to erasmus.accom@vscht.cz (and CC incoming@vscht.cz).
  4. Wait for official confirmation and room allocation.
📅 Deadlines & Rules:

Apply as early as possible due to limited capacity (especially for Sept–Oct). Please obey the Accommodation Rules for 2025/2026.

The Room Allocation

In August (winter semester) or December (summer semester), you will be contacted by a dormitory officer with information about your assigned room.

Earliest Arrival:
Usually possible 1-2 weeks prior to Enrollment Day.
Capacity Note:
Specific room type requests might not be met due to limited capacity.
Check-in & Payments

Show your passport at reception. For weekend arrivals, you must register at the Student Accommodation office on Monday.
Fees: 400 CZK (Admin) + 7,000 CZK (Refundable deposit). Access payments via ISKAM online system.

Bed Linen & Wi-Fi

Linen is included and changed weekly.
Wi-Fi: "vscht" (university credentials), "volha"/"sazava" (unlimited after providing phone number at check-in). Logins provided on Enrollment Day.

🍽 Canteens & Dining

Volha Residence: On-site dining.
Campus Dejvice: "Red" and "Blue" canteens.
Discounts: Use your UCT Student Card for reduced prices.

From Airport

Bus 59 → Metro A (Nádraží Veleslavín) → Metro C (Muzeum/Chodov) → Bus 177 (Volha stop).
Time: 45–50 mins | Ticket: 40 CZK.

Off-Campus Housing Private rentals closer to campus are available. Beware of fake offers. Residents in dorms are registered at Foreign Police automatically; private rentals must register within 3 days.
